Purpose
We are a boutique family owned and operated centre that strives on providing a warm and nurturing learning environment. At The Beehive ELC, our philosophy recognises the importance of holistic development; acknowledging that all aspects of a child’s learning are interconnected, and that each child comes with their own unique needs, interests, and capabilities. We prioritise the physical, emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual dimensions of each child, understanding that supporting these aspects are essential for their overall well-being.
We believe The Beehive ELC should be a child’s home away from home and one where we value the importance of relationships, recognising that meaningful relationships set the foundation for a child’s future success. Through reciprocal relationships built on trust, respect, and empathy, we create a nurturing environment where children feel a sense of belonging and one where they are empowered to explore, discover, and learn.
Our philosophy acknowledges whānau as the child’s first and most influential teachers and we strive to cultivate strong partnerships, recognising whānau as essential collaborators in their child's learning journey. By embracing diversity, promoting inclusivity, and celebrating each child's uniqueness, we create a rich and dynamic learning community where every child is supported to thrive and reach their full potential.
