Infants
In the Infants area we cater for 10 babies from 1 year to 2 years old.
We understand that infants are totally dependent on others; therefore we provide a predictable, secure and calm environment for their growth and development.
We aim to provide a peaceful environment for the child that is physically safe, cognitively challenging and emotionally nurturing. It is designed to accommodate the child’s changing developmental needs and interests in which we strive to provide a balance of activities that help children to progress in social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. Children are offered to explore and interact with other children or on their own.
Our aspirations for our children are for them to grow up as competent and confident learners, communicators, healthy in mind, body and spirit, secure in their sense of belonging and in the knowledge that they make a valued contribution to society.
We provide open communication between parents and caregivers and we feel we have strong reciprocal relationships where parents feel confident leaving their child in our care.
Infants and Toddlers are exposed to different resources and play spaces, this allows them to explore inside and outside and heighten their sense of awareness of the environment. Children are given opportunities for quiet time, sensory experiences, including fresh air and also time to watch or join in.
Children in our care are made to feel safe and secure which also enables them to make independent choices.
